My Angel...

There’s something dieing in both you in me...
What is it? I’m not sure... I just hope there’s a better way... Just want to help you find a cure...

But what cure?! What’s my mission in this world full of darkness and sorrow if I can’t find a way of erasing this aggravation? Is there any GOOD reason for me to go on?! How can I handle it?!
It’s true that we’re miles apart, but I wonder if you feel my pain...

I’m going insane… I tried to be tough, but my power is almost gone...

*

Is this the beginning of the end?! Oh, this pain is just too real! If only I could make you see that you truly are my inspiration...

But I can’t…

There’s a time and a place for sacrifice… Is THIS the right time?

*

I look at the blue sky… You filled my veins with hope; but is it worth when YOU lost yours?

My life hasn’t been the same; it comes as no surprise...

*

I close my eyes and take a deep breath… I start walking self-assured, but very slowly…
I open my eyes again… all I can do is staring at the deep and dark abysm I have in front of me…. and now I realise…

I look behind me and you’re standing there, with a depressing look…

You come closer to me, trying to make me stop this madness I’m about to do…

“You don’t wanna do that, do you?” I hear you asking…

I try to avoid you… but you just fly to me and put your hand on my cheek… I can’t help but look at you at last… and you say:
“Strength will be by our side; we’re BOTH frightened... But please, let’s forget that! Together we will stand strong and this is something we will never regret!”

Changing my Looks?

What if I dyed my hair like this??
Hehe, this is a wig, obviously... I bought it a few days ago; don't know why, just felt like it... but it's cool when you pretend you're someone else, isn't it?
Maybe I should go to an Anime convention or something with my pals André (thenamelessfive.blogspot.com) and Patricia (ripatasirana.blogspot.com) as my own character, SpiceSoul (Spicey, for short)...!
Hmm...

Interview Time! (Time For Me to Answer XD)

João interviewing Joana
1- If you had to present you to someone, how would you describe yourself?

I’d probably say that I’m generally a nice, shy, lovely girl who also has some sadness and rage moments at times…

2- If you had to choose a book, which would it be?
A book? Well, I don’t know… maybe “I’m In Love with a Popstar” by Margarida Rebelo Pinto! (Yes, because I daydream a lot...)

3- And a film?

Either Titanic or the Harry Potter saga, no doubt at all! Harry Potter, because I love magic; and Titanic… how could I deny a film in which is shown the greatest magic of all?

What is it, you ask? And I answer: love…

4- What is your greatest fear?
Death… I know it’s something that will happen sooner or later, but…

5- If you knew that you just had a day of life, what could you not stop doing?
Hehe, that’s a tough question… In fact, I think I just wouldn’t stop crying and I’d try to… well… spend some time with my friends and family so I could tell them how much I loved them and, no matter what, I’d never forget them… (Wow, am I being melodramatic? *giggles*)

6- What makes you happy?
Knowing that there are people who actually care for me…

7- And unhappy?
Seeing my friends in depression…

8 - What is the thing you hate the most in this World?
People who are not loyal or true… Unfortunately there are lots of folks like that… and I really hate it…

9- Would you like to live in another country?
Ooh, yeah… One of my biggest dreams is to go to England and work there! Probably in Manchester, London or Liverpool…

10- If you had the opportunity to know an important personality, who would be?
Hmm… so many! Perhaps David Beckham or any of my favourite actors/actresses…

11-What are the things you can’t live without?
Want me to tell you the truth? My computer… sometimes I have it turned on only to listen to music and sing! I love to sing! I may not be an expert, but I’d like to show the world what I can do someday…
But anyway, another thing I just couldn't live without would certainly be Anime (also known as Japanese animation)! I love everything which is Japanese, can't you tell? I've even spent some time trying to figure out how to say my name in this language!!
My name is Joana Teresa!! Or... Should I say Endoh Kumiko??

A Story in Winter

It is hot! Oops, it is a winter’s story, isn’t it? So, it is cold.
Christmas is getting close and I have decided to visit my mother and all my family in Bohemia. It takes ten hours to arrive there by train… and this awful weather doesn’t help. But suddenly, something ‘heats’ me a little…

“Good morning, Miss…?”
“Margaret Smith, and I’m not Miss…”
“Oh… It’s cold here, isn’t it?”
“Maybe, but it will be hotter if you keep on flirting with me!”

And unexpectedly... A man shows up... her fat, ugly husband (I suppose)!

"Are you fine, dear?"
he says, looking furiously at me.
"Don’t worry my dear brother...this gentleman will not bother you anymore!"
“Ah-ha! So he is your brother, eh? If so, I dare you to a sword duel!” said I with the security of a young boy of eighteen who doesn't have the notion of danger at all…
"A duel? Do you know who I am?"
"No, why? Should I know?"
"Of course! I'm the well-known Smith, Peter Smith!"

And that's when the duel starts...and now, I already know why that ugly man is known...

This so-called Peter Smith was a tough adversary... Tougher than I thought, indeed...
But that could also have a good side... the lady's concern.
I don't know how or why... I just know that today we're together in Bohemia, near my mum's house... Me incapable of walking and she taking care of me (but Margaret is not too happy about it).

Perhaps this 'beautiful woman of the train' who is here with me feels guilty for her brother's actions... poor her... but good for me!

Scissor Sisters!! (Review)

Scissor Sisters are one of those flourishing new bands that nowadays fill our stereos and MP3 players with an unforeseen amusement so that you can’t ‘erase’ them from your mind (especially because of their peculiar name).

Released on the 18th September 2006, Scissor Sisters’ second album (called Ta-Dah) immediately reached Top 10 in the UK thanks to the main single I Don’t Feel like Dancing.

This new song became famous for its curious rhythm, being a mix of glam rock, psychedelia and disco. Nevertheless, we cannot forget the significant role of its special guest; Sir Elton John teamed up with Scissor Sisters not only as co-writer but also pianist.

The lyrics tell us the story of a man that prefers to stay at home rather than having fun… but that, simultaneously, is a bit envious of his friends… or even girlfriend (which is evidently proved when catchy verses like “Rather be home with no one when I can't get down with you”, “My heart could take a chance, but my two feet can't find a way” or “Looks like magic's solely yours tonight” echo as these four minutes and thirty seconds of pure delight go by.
If you watch its music video carefully, you’ll take in that there is a clear reference to some ancient films, in which the elements of the band itself are the actors.
However, it is said that I Don’t Feel Like Dancing resembles somehow Leo Sayer's hit You Make Me Feel Like Dancing (1970’s) due to the use of falsetto vocals.

Overall: a splendid tune characterised by its hilarious yet creative style and, once you listen to it, you literally ‘feel like dancing’.
